Language based remedial learning
Language-Based Remedial Learning – 1 Hour Class
Build stronger foundations in reading, writing and communication through our one-hour Language-Based Remedial Learning classes, designed for students aged 5–18 who benefit from additional, carefully paced support.
Each lesson begins at the student’s current level and focuses on the specific language skills that need strengthening. Depending on the learner’s age and needs, sessions may cover phonological awareness, letter–sound relationships, decoding, spelling, vocabulary, sentence construction, reading fluency, comprehension, grammar and written expression.
Concepts are broken into clear, manageable steps and reinforced through explanation, modelling, guided practice and repetition. Students are given the time they need to process new information, ask questions and practise without pressure or embarrassment.
Lessons can support students who have fallen behind, experience persistent difficulty with literacy, need help consolidating classroom learning or simply learn more effectively through structured individual guidance. Activities and materials are selected to suit the learner rather than relying on a single approach for everyone.
At Brilliant Brain, remedial learning is not about labelling a student or focusing on what they cannot do. It is about identifying missing foundations, rebuilding them patiently and helping each learner experience genuine progress and renewed confidence.
